Apple has announced the new features to be provided in the updated Mac and other OS versions to be released later this year. This includes on-device live translation for phone calls, messages, and FaceTime captions.
Language coverage for Messages will be Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. For phone calls and FaceTime, it will be limited to English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish.
