Type Light 3.2x, a new free font editor for OS X, has just been released, and a paid version with additional features is expected later this year.

It's not going to win any design awards, but for free font editors available on the Mac, it's certainly a step up from X11 with FontForge :) Case in point, I've never ever gotten around to installing FontForge, but I've installed Typelight and played around a very tiny bit.
