Joe -- No, localizations are just lists of words and don't affect how apps or the text engine operate. 10.7 already had Arabic and that did not make Pages any better at RTL.
Hi! Sorry for the interruption but a new problem puzzles me.
I've been using a 105-keys Das Keyboard with blank keys for a few months on a Lion iMac. It works fine, but the OS suddenly stopped recognizing it and it treats the keyboard as if it had 104 keys instead of 105. It recognizes the ñ, the accented vowels á é and so on and all the special symbols important for Spanish people, but the < > key next to the z displays º and ª when holding it. This started happening a few days ago (maybe some weeks ago because I haven't coded HTML for a while). Your article made me think. May it be for the new localizations? The operating system is in English but I have set up the input language as Spanish. The Apple USB keyboard works fine, but I don't like it (I prefer a mechanical keyboard).
It does not seem to be a problem related with language, but in fact the keyboard behaves like a 104-keys one, not a 105 one.
I am not asking you for help, I am just sharing my frustration… Sorry. I don't know what to do.
Undivaga -- there is no connection with localizations. It sounds like a "keyboard type" problem.
