Typing Urdu
I did a short article about Urdu a while ago, but it has come to my attention that Kamal Abdali has created a really excellent and comprehensive resource for Urdu on the Mac, which you can find at
Tom, a lot has changed (for the better) since your kind post. The URDU-QWERTY keyboard layout (URL below) has supported Urdu, Persian, and Shahmukhi Punjabi from the beginning. It also supports Ottoman Turkish now.
